Agoura Hills, CA (The Hollywood Times) 6/16/25 – An atmospheric Agoura Hills canyon setting served as the backdrop for an evening of sound and reflection, as the duo Starwater and Sol -Sonic Travelers- presented musical collaboration and sonic vibrations.
“Never have I experienced a sound bath presented in its perfect complement- an open-air magnificently curated Zen-zone comfortable setting,” said participant Shari Hollander.
Christopher Parnell (Sol) played didgeridoos, an ancient instrument originating in the aboriginal lands of Australia. He crafts his collection of “didges” from tree trunks and is masterful in blowing while sitting and even moving about the space. Also playing hand pan, drum and rattle. Starwater is Bodhi (Setchko) who is not only a multi-instrumentalist, but a sound healer, poet, author, composer, recording artist and more.
In his presence, rustling leaves became an instrument, percussive drums, guitar, flute – even waving a feather to generate energy- filled the night air. A virtual orchestra.
The sound of “om” resounded in the outdoors.
Experiencing music in a sonic ceremony was transcendent, lifting collective minds and souls. These magical and mystical sounds are considered to be healing. And fun to hear.
