Exclusive: One Tree Entertainment has acquired worldwide sales rights to the Psychological Thriller feature “Fathers” that gets its European premiere (November 29), in Berlin at the prestigious ARFF festival and has released the exclusive first-look image to The Hollywood Times.
One Tree Entertainment will commence sales at the AFM in November. Fathers tells the gripping story of Natalie, a woman who reappears after being missing for 15 years. Fragile and confused, she finds herself torn between two men who each claim to be her father—one of whom is lying. As two detectives unravel the mystery, Natalie must confront her shattered memories and the haunting truth of her past.
Multi award-winning filmmaker Harley Wallen, whose credits include Final Recovery and Beneath Us All, directed an ensemble cast including Kaiti Wallen (Finding Nicole), Harley Wallen, Jerry Hayes (Ash And Bone), Emilia Linnea, Leslie Mechigian, Kayden Bryce (A Holiday I Do), and Deon Hunt (Finding Nicole), who sadly passed away while the film was in post-production. The film is lovingly dedicated to his memory.
Produced by Harley Wallen, Kaiti Wallen, Joe Williamson (The Devil’s Left Hand), Jeff Berry, Leslie Mechigian, Joe Quick, Bradford Clark, and Deon Hunt, Fathers continues the creative momentum of Painted Creek Productions, whose recent projects include Finding Nicole, Ash and Bone, and the acclaimed series Tale of Tails.

The deal strengthens the ongoing collaboration between Painted Creek Productions and One Tree Entertainment, who also handles international sales for The Devil’s Left Hand, Finding Nicole, and Moving Parts.

“Fathers” has already begun its festival journey, garnering multiple nominations and recognition across the circuit. Kaiti Wallen received Best Actress honors at the Top Indie Film Awards in Tokyo, Japan, an 11-year festival with a strong track record for spotlighting notable independent films. The film also earned nominations for Best Feature, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.
