The Hollywood Times Grammy Awards After Party Interviews

By Peggy Phillips & Kerry Gibson

The Hollywood Times were on the scene covering the after-Grammy celebration at Skybar at the Mondrian on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, California.

The red carpet was packed with stylish performers, industry creatives, and rising stars. Everyone showed up dressed to impress—pure glam, great music, and major celebration energy filled the rooftop.

Peggy Phillips interviewed artists alongside host Kerry Gibson, capturing candid conversations about artistry, momentum, and what’s next.

JAE – Hip Hop Artist – Grammy After Party

JAE – HIP-HOP ARTIST
Originally from the Baltimore DMV area, he relocated to California to fully pursue music and that leap has paid off. He now makes a full living from his craft, earning primary placements and collaborations alongside artists such as Fivio Foreign, Trippie Redd, Honcho, and other notable names in hip-hop and rap.

Recently, JAE spent a week in Joshua Tree with his engineering team, a videographer, and a vocalist who regularly works with Chris Brown and other major artists. Stepping away from the traditional studio, the team created immersive desert visuals—including striking scenes with a live snake and scorpion, while intentionally including behind-the-scenes footage to emphasize authenticity in an era of AI-generated imagery.

Conversations like this are why Grammy week continues to inspire—artists choosing honesty over shortcuts and craft over convenience.

Kerry Gibson, Fred Kerley, DJ Sky High Baby – Grammy After Party, RED KERLEY & DJ SKY HIGH BABY

One of the best parts of covering the Grammy after-party is the people—the laughter, the unexpected connections, and real conversations.

Spending time with Fred Kerley, two-time Olympic medalist representing Team USA, whose focus and humility are just as impressive as his speed, made the night even more meaningful. Kerley earned Silver in the 100m at the Tokyo Olympics (2021) and Bronze in the 100m at the Paris Olympics (2024), continuing to represent excellence on the world stage.

Alongside him was DJ Sky High Baby, DJ and reality TV personality known for her vibrant presence and appearance on Zeus Network’s Baddies. Her bold energy lights up every room she enters.

LINATA – RECORDING ARTIST & PRODUCER
One of the most heartfelt conversations of the evening was with Linata. Born and raised in Ukraine, she began singing in childhood and later studied music in Kyiv before expanding her career internationally and living and working partly in Los Angeles.

Her blend of R&B and soul is intimate and expressive, with emotionally driven lyrics exploring love, identity, heritage, and personal experience. It was an honest and moving conversation—exactly the kind of artist story that reminds us why live interviews matter.

Linata – Grammy After Party Red Carpet

This is what Grammy week is all about—music, authenticity, connection, and the stories waiting to be told. As I reflect on this year’s Grammy week, I’m reminded why I continue to love what I do. Beyond the awards, beyond the glamour, it’s the conversations that stay with me. It’s the artists who are building something real. It’s the courage it takes to relocate, to reinvent, to stay independent, to honor family, to push creative boundaries, and to choose authenticity in an industry that constantly evolves.

Standing on that rooftop at Skybar, surrounded by music, ambition, and celebration, I felt grateful—not just to be covering the event for The Hollywood Times, but to truly connect with the people behind the art. These are the stories that matter. These are the voices shaping what’s next. Thank you to every artist who took the time to share their journey with us. We are honored to listen, to document, and to help tell those stories.
