In 2025, Washington, D.C. will host WorldPride, marking the first time this global LGBTQ+ celebration takes place in the United States.

Washington DC (The Hollywood Times) 4/27/25 -It runs from mid-May well into June. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world will pour into our nation’s capital and surrounding region for hundreds of major events—some, of course, film-related. The occasion is already steeped in controversy, thanks primarily to one man and his malign administration. I refer, of course, to President Donald J. Trump.

For example, this weekend it was announced that the Kennedy Center, now under the terrible Trump thumblet, has decided to sever all ties to hosting any World Pride events there.

While there’s actually some element of ambiguity about exactly when and how this decision came to be reached and announced —- according to the Capital Pride official who spoke to me yesterday, the basic facts are clear.
As follows:
Under President Trump, as the new self-appointed Kennedy Center chairman, all LGBTQ+ events hitherto scheduled to be hosted at the Kennedy Center have now been kicked out and will be forced to suddenly relocate elsewhere!
