Warner Bros. Television Triumphs at the 77th Emmys with The Pitt and The Penguin

Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 9/14/25 – Warner Bros. Television proved its dominance at the 77th Emmy® Awards, capturing a total of 14 trophies across its acclaimed productions The Pitt and The Penguin. The night cemented the studio’s reputation for delivering some of the most compelling storytelling on television.

HBO Max’s breakout medical drama The Pitt emerged as a major victor, securing five Emmy Awards in its first season. The series was honored with the coveted prize for Outstanding Drama Series, marking it as one of the year’s most distinguished shows.

The ensemble also celebrated career-defining moments for its cast: Noah Wyle won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, his first Emmy win, while Katherine LaNasa took home Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. At the Creative Arts Emmys, Shawn Hatosy earned Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, and the production also triumphed in Outstanding Casting.

Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks, Channing Dungey, praised the series, calling it “a masterfully produced show that represents excellence on every level.” She commended the creative vision of John Wells and Scott Gemmill, along with HBO Max, for assembling one of the most talented casts and crews in recent memory.

Another Warner Bros. triumph came in the form of HBO’s The Penguin, a limited crime drama expanding the Batman universe. The series captured nine Emmy Awards, including a win for Cristin Milioti as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her gripping portrayal of Sofia Falcone.

Additional wins came in categories ranging from costumes and hairstyling to prosthetic makeup, music composition, sound design, and visual effects, highlighting the production’s technical and artistic achievements.

Dungey applauded Milioti’s victory, describing her as “a performer whose immense range and depth elevate every scene.” She emphasized that her recognition was a testament to the bold creative risks that define The Penguin.
