San Diego Pride is an LGBTQIA+ arts and culture nonprofit behind the city’s largest single-day civic event and one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the country. Each year, more than 250,000 people gather for Pride weekend to celebrate community through performing arts, visual arts, and creative expression in all its forms.

As the City faces difficult budget decisions, arts and culture are often among the first to be cut, despite their proven impact on economic growth, community connection, and civic pride. The proposed reductions would eliminate nearly $400,000 in funding for San Diego Pride, threatening our ability to sustain the programs and experiences that uplift and support LGBTQ+ communities year-round.
