With Taylor Swift firmly entrenched as THE storyline of Super Bowl LVIII, we started wondering which NFL fan base has the highest number of Swifties (other than Kansas City, of course).

The marketing team at BetOnline.ag conducted a semi-scientific study to find the answer to that question. The results, as well as a cool infographic, are below.

The results were generating by tallying up Facebook and Instagram accounts that follow an NFL team AND also follow Taylor Swift on social media.

For example, the percentage of Dallas Cowboys fans that also follow Swift is 22%. This data was compiled by using the Facebook Ads Manager (Facebook also owns Instagram) which allows business accounts to see audience overlap between two categories.

Here is the infographic (feel free to use in your content): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JYPOuawlHbTSqql9F15ijJodYQLxchh3/view?usp=sharing

And here are the results:

Packers – 14.02

Rams – 13.22

Steelers – 13.02

Giants – 12.94

Buccaneers – 12.05

Chargers – 2.69

What’s interesting is that because we’ve tracked this all season, we can now look at the differences from September through February, and there are definitely some interesting takeaways. Here are a few:

– Chargers Fans (Chief’s division rival) have had the biggest drop from 16.65% all the way to just 2.69%

– The Raiders (also division rivals) dropped from 12.49% to 6.03%

– 49ers fans are unfollowing like crazy ahead of the Super Bowl, dropping from 18.46% to 10.19%

– Eagles fans (likely because of Jason Kelce) skyrocketed from 8.43% to 22.36%
