Being in the entertainment industry has been one of the most exciting yet fulfilling careers that I have embarked on. As I have been pursuing my goal to be a reporter, I was able to stumble into another career that makes me so fulfilled in helping others to achieve their dreams in the Entertainment Industry. I am excited to share with you my readers at The Hollywood Times how I placed my friend Maureen Meehan, who is an Executive Producer/Writer of “60 Dates in 6 months” with DPA Gift Suites at Cannes Film Festival 2026 to sign her book. See you at Cannes!
Her movie “60 Dates in 6 Months” is going to be distributed in United States and Canada by a major distributor. Stay tuned for their press release mid-March.
As I have been trying to the get to the top with entertainment reporting, I have met many publicists, photographers, producers and all things “Hollywood”. I have been able to go places where others would never dream of, but I also have alienated myself with my “Noise Josie” behaviors. I finally figured it out on how to approach industry executives within industry standards and make dreams come true. They say Hollywood is very forgiving and I guess I finally figured it out at 43 years young.
It all started at our neighborhood 4th of July Community Barbeque Party in Laguna Niguel, where I met Maureen and she told me she is currently filming her movie (“60 Dates in 6 Months”). I told her I would love to cover it for “The Hollywood Times” and that’s how our friendship started. We started walking weekly and I found Maureen amazing. Not only is she a Judge for the Superior Court for over 20 years in Mental Health, but she is also so knowledgeable in art, fashion, healthcare, food, all lifestyle. Not to mention she is a very beautiful woman, however her best quality is that I found so attractive is how she is a “Steward” to her fellow man. Maureen really cares about people and helping people live their best life through faith. That is also very important to me.
I was talking to my mom one day about Maureen and her CHARMING movie that needed to be sold, and my mom told me that I have the gift of introducing others like my grandmother “FAINA”. Grandma Faina was known in our Russian Jewish community with placing new immigrants in housing, day care programs and even finding their significant others. Grandma Faina always closed the deal within weeks, and all knew that Grandma Faina did matches and placements that’s others would never dream of. My mom said I should see if I could place Maureen with all the crème of the crop Industry executives that I have met throughout my career.
Placing Maureen and her book brought me so joy and happiness to see that I could align the stars with all involved and have it been a huge success.
The screening of “60 Dates in 6 months” was at the Rivian South Coast Theatre in Laguna Beach, Feb 18, 2026. Don’t worry, your reporter “Only Josie Knows” was there covering it and has all the videos for you and some (BTS) footage of the cast, crew and all the glitz & glamour.
