Desert Legends Golf Tournament

The Desert Legends Golf Tournament was inspired by both the iconic Dinah Shore Golf Tournament which started in 1972, and the Lina Shore produced by Caroline Haines and became a special place for women to connect over spring break. Neither tournament exists anymore and we are excited to be keeping the legend alive for many years to come. Last year’s tournament was a smash at the Indian Canyons South Course and LPGA pro Amy Alcott made an appearance at the luncheon. The tournament has sold out every year, and we look forward to another full field in 2026!

Author, poet and teacher Susan Detlefsen PhD will discuss writing tips, inspiration, and the poetic process. Susan is joined by a few fabulous local poets for Sapphic poetry readings. You are encouraged to bring pen, paper or your journal. You might be inspired to share some poetry of your own or just sit back and enjoy.
MEDITATION & ASTROLOGY WITH SHEENA

Sheena will walk you through a guided meditation to show you how to relax, focus and center. Next, she will explain how your astrological plays into your life’s path and decisions…and how you may have picked your career, friends, or love interests based on what’s in your astrological make-up. Sheena will also be available for private readings, after the workshop.
ANIMAL CONNECTIONS WITH SANDY

Sandy will share some of the secrets of understanding and
communicating with animals, your most loved best friends. As a group and in pairs you’ll be lead step-by-step to tune in intuitively with animals to learn more about your beloved best friend. It’s also a great way to meet other women who love their animals! Bring your willingness to learn, paper, pen, a personal item (ring, necklace, keychain) and your phone with a picture of your dog, cat, horse, fish, ferret, hamster, bird, etc.
