Hot off the newest season of Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King (Paramount+), his third, with a late September/early October season 4 premiere date of the newest block of shows in the hit series, James Quattrochi just wrapped roles on two new feature films. For the next month the focus is on Tulsa King and its second year-in-a-row of Emmy nominations to be awarded early September 2026.
The first, a short headed for the film festival circuit, Playing the Float is a legal drama in which he portrays lead ‘Marco Tirelli’ and centers on a corporate insurance giant who uses a workers’ comp claim to brand him a fraud, a photographer with nothing left to lose, and a protagonist who teaches himself the law to launch a legal war of vengeance in Federal Court.
Simultaneously, he earned a pivotal role in double Oscar winner, Nick Vallelonga’s original romantic comedy feature, That’s Amore, starring John Travolta and Mira Sorvino which was shot in coastal Mississippi locations including Biloxi, Gulfport, and Ocean Springs with a stellar supporting cast this past Spring. James’ plays ‘Big Bob’ in the feature centered on lead Travolta (Nick Venere) whose character’s never been married. Sorvino’s ‘Patty Amore’s’ secret from her past causes her to refuse to open her heart to any man and when these two emotionally damaged people meet, their families get involved, and the results are hilarious. A late 2026 release is expected putting it into awards contention.

What do you say about one of the most versatile working actors in Hollywood who transitions from superb characters on top tv shows to original, forthcoming feature films and then on to signature commercials which look more like a series than branded consumer fare? James Quattrochi is one of those actors who has seamless taken on any role he’s earned over others since he arrived in Los Angeles in 1991 as a young actor wanting to expand his involvement in the film industry.
James divides his time currently as a co-star on the hit show, “Tulsa King” (Paramount+) for his third season and its fourth which is likely to premiere either late September or early October. And, the series just received its second back-to-back Emmy nomination last week for superior stunts which has become one of its signature standouts. As awards season gets underway, Quattrochi, who was one of the industry favorites last year when the Sylvester Stallone-led Tulsa King received its Emmy nom, is sure to be in high demand this August and September especially with inside scoop on season 4 storyline.
He also has one of the most sought-after roles in Nick Vallelonga’s romantic musical comedy, That’s Amore, starring John Travolta as a lifelong bachelor who works at his family’s pizza shop and believes his best days for romance are gone, and Mira Sorvino as “Patty Amore,” a shy woman with a nervous disposition, an overprotective father, and a hidden past. When the two lonely individuals bump into each other, they form an immediate bond that is both hysterical, pricelessly entertaining and a keeper for years to come. James also has another film completed, Playing the Float, which is due for release late 2026.
The back story begins in 1995 when James produced and starred in In the Kingdom of the Blind, an official selection of the Palm Springs Film Festival and Santa Barbara Film Festival, with William Petersen, Paul Winfield and Michael Biehn and went on to receive worldwide distribution, allowing James to follow up this project by directing the critically acclaimed film, True Friends. The film won the Charleston International Film Festival and James was voted “Best Up and Coming Director” by the Laifa Film Awards, with James receiving a letter of endorsement from director Martin Scorcese. The film was also honored with the Imagen Award, having been chosen over The Mask of Zorro.
Next up for Quattrochi was directing Jesus, Mary and Joey, starring Olympia Dukakis, Charles Durning, Stacy Keach, Jennifer Esposito, Marley Shelton, Leo Rossi, Jason Gedrick and Mellisa Joan Hart. James then took on the immense challenges of producing Choker, conceived, written, cast and shot in the span of only nine weeks. Last year James was hired to produce All In (FOX), a father and daughter who get caught up in the world of championship poker, the film stars Michael Madsen in his last role alongside Dominique Swain, Academy Award Winner Louis Gossett, Jr., and James Russo.
James recently added a Television division to his production company and has several shows under contract he can discuss. James continues to seek special film projects to produce and direct.
