Each month, our valley has ample opportunity to meet those with common interests in a variety of settings.  For example, the leather community has an extensive calendar of “events”.  The Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD) is a leather, kink and fetish organization with a mission is to foster fellowship and inclusivity.  There is a lid for every pot.

Wednesday: The Joslyn in Bloom 2026 fashion show luncheon features a sparkling wine reception and a silent auction at Agua Caliente. Colin Hay blends reimagined Men At Work classics with his heartfelt and engaging solo songs. Enjoy the mid-week celebration of Live Music Wednesdays With Tommy Rox & Friends for great tunes or try Ecstatic Dance Coachella Valley for a DJ-led, choreography-free movement journey.

Thursday: Catch the legendary Chris Botti during his Thursday–Friday run at the McCallum Theatre for a night of cinematic jazz and masterful, world-class trumpet showmanship.

In theatre: Terrence McNally’s Love! Valour! Compassion! explores friendship and the AIDS crisis as eight friends gather to confront love, fear, and loyalty at the Dezart Playhouse. Desert Ensemble Theatre presents the witty family drama Knife to the Heart, offering a sharp and incisive look at the bonds that hold us together.

Friday: The valley energy is unmistakable for Friday–Sunday as Coachella kicks off with headliners like Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber taking over the Empire Polo Club. See Amanda McBroom – My Personal Best Friday–Saturday for luminous songcraft and catch Billy L’Amour in A Little L’Amour – An Evening Of Song Dance & Gl’amour for live singing, comedy, and storytelling.

This weekend: Drag icon Alyssa Edwards reflects on her rise to fame with her hilariously unfiltered message to RuPaul: “Thanks for Everything.” Celebrate World Art Day, The Lofts Art Walk, and Cocktails on the Page with Rufi Thorpe. Plus, legends Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. share timeless soul hits.
