Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has revealed its first honorees for the 2026 Tribute Awards, set to celebrate cinematic excellence and contributions to the industry. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday September 13, 2026, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel Toronto.
This year’s honorees include acclaimed talent:
Penélope Cruz will receive the TIFF Special Tribute Award, presented by CHANEL, for her extraordinary career, with upcoming roles in new films including “Bunker” and “La Bola Negra.”
Lee Chang-dong renowned South Korean filmmaker, will be honored with the TIFF Ebert Director Award, sponsored by The Tory Family, recognizing his impactful work such as “Burning” and “Oasis.”
Rosalind Eleazar, rising British star, is awarded the TIFF Tribute Performer Award, sponsored by Anne-Marie Canning, for her performances in both film and television, including “Misty Green” and “Slow Horses.”
Isabelle Huppert, a legendary actress with over 100 films, will also receive the Tribute Performer Award, sponsored by Rolex, highlighted by her role in the upcoming comedy “All About Corinne.”
Siân Heder, American filmmaker behind “CODA,” will be honored with the TIFF Tribute Award in Impact Media, presented by Anne-Marie Canning, for her leadership in inclusive storytelling, debuting her new film “Being Heumann” at TIFF.
