Pasadena, CA (The Hollywood Times) 10/26/26 – Special Needs Network (SNN) celebrated 20 years of advocacy, inclusion, and community impact with its sold-out 20th Anniversary Evening Under the Stars Gala on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at a stunning private Pasadena estate.

The glamorous “Back to the Future” celebration welcomed 450 guests for an unforgettable evening blending Afrofuturistic elegance, 1970s soul, live entertainment, and a powerful message of hope and opportunity for individuals with disabilities.

Among the evening’s distinguished honorees were Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles, actor and director Richard Lawson, actor and autism advocate Diezel Braxton-Lewis, Kaiser Permanente, and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Heather Hutt. CBS LA anchor Sheba Turk served as emcee.

Guests enjoyed performances by DJ Delo, vocalist Elaine Gibbs, Soul Train-inspired dancers, and D4, a band showcasing neurodivergent musical talent.

Founded by civil rights attorney and disability advocate Areva Martin, Special Needs Network has grown from a grassroots initiative into a leading organization providing clinical services, family support, advocacy, and employment opportunities throughout Southern California.

“This was more than a beautiful celebration. It was a testament to the power of community, the generosity of our partners, and the extraordinary dedication of our team,” Martin shared.

As SNN enters its third decade, the organization remains committed to breaking barriers, empowering families, and creating a more inclusive future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
