The 2026 festivities bring back the San Diego Pride Dyke March before culminating in the Spirit of Stonewall Rally, one of the nation’s largest Pride parades and a two-day festival headlined by MARINA and Krewella.

San Diego, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/8/26 – San Diego Pride returns this July with a full week of activism, entertainment, remembrance and unapologetic LGBTQIA+ visibility under the theme “Pride Shines On.”
For The Hollywood Times, Pride has always meant far more than a party. It is about honoring the people who fought before us, supporting those still fighting today and creating spaces where every member of our beautifully diverse community can be seen, celebrated and safe.
That spirit will be powerfully displayed during the return of the San Diego Pride Dyke March on Saturday, July 11, at 11 a.m.
Organized in collaboration with Lambda Archives of San Diego and Gossip Grill, the free community march begins at Mo’s, located at 308 University Avenue, and travels through Hillcrest before concluding with an after-party at Gossip Grill, 1220 University Avenue.

Its return feels especially meaningful during a time when LGBTQIA+ communities continue to face renewed challenges to their rights, healthcare and freedom of expression. The march creates an important space for solidarity—but also for joy, connection and collective power.
Lighting the Cathedral with Pride
Pride Week continues on Wednesday, July 15, at 7 p.m. with the annual Light Up the Cathedral celebration at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral.
LGBTQIA+-affirming faith leaders and allies from across San Diego County will gather for an interfaith service featuring readings, music and messages of inclusion. Following the service, the cathedral will be illuminated in rainbow colors—a beautiful reminder that faith and LGBTQIA+ identity are not mutually exclusive.

Remembering Pride’s Protest Roots
On Friday, July 17, at 6 p.m., the Spirit of Stonewall Rally will officially launch San Diego Pride weekend across from The Brass Rail at 535 Robinson Avenue.
Held in San Diego since 1975, the rally keeps Pride’s origins as a protest movement at the center of the celebration. It also recognizes community members and organizations working to address the challenges LGBTQIA+ people continue to face.
Actress and activist Hailie Sahar, who made history as one of the transgender lead actors in Ryan Murphy’s groundbreaking FX series Pose, will deliver the keynote address. Amber St. James will serve as master of ceremonies, and J’Nyka Faulkner, a member of the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians, will present the land acknowledgment.

Following the rally, the celebration continues from 8 to 11 p.m. with the Arko Park Pride Block Party. The event honors Lou Arko, who purchased The Brass Rail in 1957 and helped transform it into a welcoming gathering place for San Diego’s queer community.
More Than 300,000 Expected for the Parade
The annual San Diego Pride Parade steps off Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m. in Hillcrest.
With more than 300 contingents and an estimated attendance exceeding 300,000 people, it is among the largest Pride celebrations and single-day civic events in the United States.

Senior and accessible viewing areas will be available at University Avenue and Richmond Street. The parade is free and open to the community.
Before the parade begins, approximately 1,700 runners and walkers are expected to participate in the San Diego Pride 5K Run and Walk at 8 a.m. at Centre and University avenues. The annual event has raised significant funding for San Diego Pride and The San Diego LGBT Community Center’s Youth Housing Project.
MARINA and Krewella Headline the Festival
After the parade, Pride moves into Balboa Park for the two-day San Diego Pride Festival at Marston Point.
The festival runs from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. More than 100 artists will appear across multiple stages, with international stars MARINA and Krewella leading the 2026 entertainment lineup.

More than 1,600 volunteers help make the festival possible, demonstrating just how much community effort goes into producing an event of this size.
On Sunday, July 19, guests ages 65 and older will receive free festival admission from noon to 2 p.m. as part of Senior Sunday, which will also include complimentary breakfast and coffee.
Although many Pride Week activities—including the Dyke March, rally and parade—are free community events, the ticketed festival serves as an important fundraiser for San Diego Pride’s year-round nonprofit work. Festival participation supports the organization’s continuing advocacy, community programs, arts initiatives and philanthropic efforts.
San Diego Pride 2026 promises music, dancing and plenty of celebration—but its heart remains firmly rooted in resistance, service and community.
