Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/24/25 — The entertainment and sports worlds are mourning the loss of one of their most iconic figures. Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, has passed away at the age of 71 following a cardiac arrest. He suffered the medical emergency at his home and later died in the hospital.

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was known for his all-American ring personality and his blond handlebar mustache.

Hogan rose to international fame in the 1980s as the face of professional wrestling, becoming a household name through his work with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). With his unmistakable handlebar mustache, bandana, and booming catchphrase—”Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”—he captivated fans across generations.

Beyond the ring, Hogan also found success in film and television, starring in action-comedies like Mr. Nanny and Suburban Commando, and appearing in numerous TV shows. His charisma helped bridge the gap between sports entertainment and mainstream pop culture, making him one of the most recognizable personalities of his era.
