Palm Springs, CA (The Hollywood Times) 6/19/26The future of technology arrives in the Coachella Valley next week as PS/NExT Summit 2026: New Experiences in Technology takes over the Palm Springs Convention Center on June 22–23.

Presented by the City of Palm Springs Office of Economic Development and the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the one-and-a-half-day summit is expected to surpass attendance from last year’s sold-out inaugural event. More than 70 experts, innovators, educators, artists, and business leaders will participate in discussions and demonstrations exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming everyday life.

The summit will feature six learning tracks covering business, education, creativity, public policy, sustainability, and workforce development. More than 100 Coachella Valley students will attend free of charge, highlighting the event’s commitment to expanding access to technology education and career opportunities.

Among the highlights is the interactive Vibe-a-thon, where developers, students, and entrepreneurs will use AI-powered tools to build real-world solutions for local organizations, including the Palm Springs Hospitality Association and The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens.

A featured closing keynote, “A Community Conversation,” will bring together acclaimed author and media personality Baratunde Thurston, Responsible AI researcher Lisa Flynn, and educator Dr. Thomas Spiglanin for a discussion on ethics, trust, sustainability, and the responsible use of AI.

Attendees can also experience HYBRID WORLDS, a digital media exhibition curated by Cristopher Cichocki, featuring works that explore the intersection of art, nature, and technology.

PS/NExT Summit 2026 runs Monday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Reduced-rate passes are available for Coachella Valley residents, while local students attend free.
