With TJ Shanoff serving as her piano-playing enabler and partner-in-crime, Shirley belts, croons, and harmonizes with herself through some of musical theater’s most beloved duets, all while serving up enough comedic flair to fill an entire ensemble.
Originally staged as a one-night-only performance at The Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, the show’s debut sold out and left audiences clamoring for more. Rebecca Sohn is a dynamic actor, improviser, and writer whose versatility spans television, film, and stage. A Chicago native turned Los Angeles powerhouse, Sohn’s screen credits include AP Bio, Teachers, Shrink, and General Hospital. A proud alum of The Annoyance, iO, and Second City, she’s also graced Chicago’s most acclaimed theater stages, including Steppenwolf, Remy Bumppo, and About Face Theatre, and is an ensemble member of No Stakes Theater Project.
With three solo shows already under her belt (and a fourth in the works), Sohn continues to push creative boundaries, even if, as she jokes, “that’s why her clothes fit weird.” Her fearless comedic spirit and genuine love for live performance make My Solo Show of All Duets not just a musical event, but a celebration of imagination, resilience, and the pure joy of theater.
