Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 12/17/23 – If you’re making your plans for celebrating the arrival of 2024, consider spending New Years Eve with Marisa Corvo at Jade on the Water in Long Beach, one of the best Asian Fusion restaurants in the Southland!
Ring in the New Year at“Firefly Shines Annual Ball Drop Watch Party.” Corvo will be performing from 7 to 10 p.m., with a Champagne toast and live-streamed Ball Drop from New York City at 9 p.m.
At 10 p.m., DJ Willow Jade will keep the party going through the arrival of the New Year with dancing, a photo booth, a full premium cash bar and more. The event will benefit “STAY” Suicide Talk and You, Inc., a 501(c)3 public nonprofit that is working hard to change the script on suicide and how it impacts the community.
Currently under construction, STAY will be the first ever 24-hour virtual live stream meeting space for anyone in need IRL (In Real Life). Like an AA meeting, STAY’s mission is to provide a nonjudgemental safe place where people can find support for mental health.
Born and raised in New York’s Staten Island, Corvo’s musical talent began to shine as a classical pianist at age eight making her debut at Julliard’s Merkin Hall and she continued to hone her craft with countless performances including Carnegie Hall at age nine.
Corvo gained national acclaim on season 11 of Fox’s “American Idol” and has toured with some of the biggest stars on the planet, including Jesse Harris, Vanessa Carlton, the Jonas Brothers and Toby Keith.
This special event is produced by Firefly Shines, which puts on events to keep people connected by supporting inclusion and diversity for mental health.
Tickets are priced at $55 to $135, with all sales final (no refunds). Doors open at 6 p.m. and seating is pre-assigned. The dinner show starts promptly at 7 p.m. Party goers are encouraged to dress to impress with sparkle and shine!
