Hollywood, CA (The Hollywood Times) 5/27/26 – An unforgettable evening at The Hollywood Museum brought together the museum and an impressive mix of entertainment industry talent from multiple generations to honor the timeless legacy of Marilyn Monroe. The museum unveiled its newest exhibit, The Girl, the Dress, the Glam, while also rededicating its iconic “blondes-only” room to the legendary star.
The exhibit features an extraordinary collection of Monroe’s personal items, photographs, fashion pieces, and memorabilia, offering visitors a deeper and more intimate look at the woman behind the Hollywood image. More than simply celebrating her fame and beauty, the installation explores Marilyn’s humanity, vulnerability, and lasting impact on entertainment and pop culture.
Guests attending the opening reception were given a first look at the carefully curated display, which highlights both the glamour of Monroe’s career and the deeply personal story that continues to fascinate audiences decades later. The atmosphere throughout the evening reflected the continued admiration and emotional connection many still feel toward the screen legend.

The exhibit is now open to the public during regular museum hours at The Hollywood Museum at Hollywood & Highland as part of the lead-up to celebrations surrounding what would have been Monroe’s 100th birthday. Although Marilyn Monroe passed away in 1962 at just 36 years old, her influence on film, fashion, beauty, and celebrity culture remains as powerful as ever.
