This May, the desert’s golden age returns to the spotlight as Palm Springs honors the centennial of the world’s most enduring icon. Marilyn @ The Kimpton: The Marilyn 100 Martini Festival invites guests to step into a world of mid-century glamour and modern mixology on May 30, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Set in the hotel’s curated breezeway at the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel, the event is just steps from the monumental Forever Marilyn statue. This one-night-only fundraiser blends high-style tastings with a tribute to Monroe’s legendary Hollywood legacy, all set against the backdrop of downtown’s vibrant public art destination.
Attendees will wander through an open-air gallery of specialty spirit purveyors, engaging with experts from premier brands including Ketel One, Patrón, Teremana, Jägermeister, G.H. Mumm Champagne, and Absolut Vodka. For those seeking non-alcoholic options, Pentire Drinks will serve sophisticated aperitifs, including the Forever Marilyn Martini with Pentire Seaward, strawberry purée, lemon juice, and agave. They will also feature the Paloma, Margarita, and Coastal Spritz.
The evening features a high-energy atmosphere powered by DJ MODgirl, set amidst iconic sculptures by J.D. Hansen and Julian Voss-Andreae, the “Angel Wings” mural by Colette Miller, and the world-famous “Love Letters” sculpture. Be sure to find one of David Černý’s “Babies” as you enjoy the evening. Marilyn 100 Centennial Festival
 Starting May 28, the desert sky won’t be the only thing shimmering. The Marilyn 100, a high-glamour centennial fan festival honoring the 100th birthday of the world’s most enduring icon, Marilyn Monroe, will be center stage. From May 28 through June 1, 2026, the city will transform into a living tribute, culminating in an official World Record attempt to assemble the largest-ever gathering of people dressed as Marilyn Monroe.
Break the Record, Make History On Saturday, May 30, residents will be joined by Marilyn’s from across the country to shatter the current record of 254 Marilyn look-alikes. 1,000 participants are expected in downtown Palm Springs. This sea of white silk and golden curls will unite for a synchronized martini toast beneath the desert sun. To ensure the record is met with style, every registered participant receives a Marilyn Icon Kit, featuring the signature pleated white halter dress, the iconic platinum blonde wig, sunglasses, and a collectible martini glass as part of the official record-setting event and celebration. A Celebration with a Conscience Marilyn 100 isn’t just about the look; it’s about the legacy. Proceeds from the event will benefit Palm Springs Pride, supporting four decades of LGBTQ+ advocacy. “Marilyn was a trailblazing ally who championed authenticity long before it was fashionable. By stepping into her shoes, participants are supporting the values of visibility and inclusion that define Palm Springs.
The weekend offers more than just a photo op; it’s a citywide cultural takeover with P.S. Resorts serving as Platinum sponsor. The massive Marilyn Glam pop-up dressing room, the Marilyn 100 Boutique, takes over the Hyatt Palm Springs (May 28–30) to host registration and costume kit pickup.
The red carpet is being rolled out for an exquisite weekend of dining, curated arts, and high-fashion programming that captures the spirit of a star. Indulge in the dualities of the desert: find serenity in our hidden canyons by morning, and vibrant nightlife by evening.
