New York, NY (The Hollywood Times) 6/13/24 – De Niro Con starts tomorrow with a great lineup of movies, talks, and special events that you don’t want to miss. De Niro Con is a multi-day fan event honoring Robert De Niro and his body of work which was created for his 80th birthday party. This event runs from June 14-16th at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. There will be a special tribute event that will have a legendary lineup of artists such as Quentin Tarantino, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldburg, Christopher Walken, Martin Scorsese, among so much more.
Certain special events you do not want to miss are the Rock N’ Roll Playhouse, which will play music inspired by Shark Tale on Saturday at 10:30 AM and The De Niro Hero: Sandwich Tasting & Competition which will be on Sunday at 12 PM. Both events will be held at the Spring Studios in NYC.
There will be an Exhibit & Immersive Experience which will showcase costumes, annotated scripts, storyboards, research materials, and memorabilia from De Niro’s career throughout the years. Many of these items came from his own personal archive housed at the Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas.
Another fun experience that the fans can enjoy is Rupert Pupkin Hall where they can get real tattoos inspired by Cape Fear. The artists come from a local tattoo shop, Allied Tattoo. Then you can have your own fan moment where you get to deliver one of De Niro’s famous lines, “You talkin’ to me?” in Travis Bickle’s bedroom. These are just a few examples of the amazing memories you can create at De Niro Con this week.
