Da Brat is Da Bomb at the 35th Dinah
Palm Springs, CA (The Hollywood Times) 10/4/26 – Da Brat performed her signature hit “Funkdafied,” and the party was rocking. If you’ve never heard of Da Brat, it’s time to discover why “Funkdafied” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart and helped make her the first solo female rapper to earn a platinum-selling debut album.
She also performed “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)” along with other hits. Da Brat brought her beats, soul, vocals, energy and magic to the stage, and the audience showed their love and appreciation by singing along.
During her performance, she shared moments from her life story, including the challenges, joy and liberation of coming out. She brought her wife, Judy, onstage, and the audience could truly feel the love between them.
Da Brat also paid tribute to other musical artists, including MC Lyte. By the time her Dinah performance ended, the audience knew they had just experienced a true hip-hop legend and understood why The Dinah is known not only as the hottest lesbian party in the world, but also as a premier music festival.
The G-Spot Party at the Hilton had its share of stars, too.
Bri Carter was one of the emerging artists performing at The Dinah. Her performance showed she just might have what it takes to someday earn a coveted place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She certainly already looks like a rock star.
The Dinah dancers were a diverse group featuring a wide range of gender presentations, including high femmes and studs. The duo JKiilem and King Kelzz had the ladies swooning with their smooth, sexy moves, swag and good looks.
During the G-Spot Party, there was also a dance and twerking contest, with the winners receiving a premium pass for next year’s Dinah.
Josselyn, host of the G-Spot Pool Party, kept the audience animated with her humor and playful interaction with the crowd.
Another social media sensation, Tippy, host of the Wrongsauce podcast with more than 75,000 followers, was at the pool party surrounded by adoring fans. Mama Duke, who will be performing at the L Word Party Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Hilton, was also spotted mingling with attendees.
The Singles and Solos Social Hour was another success, judging by the number of people who attended this new addition to The Dinah. Some participants might even have found their future wife — if you believe in love at first sight!
And don’t worry if you haven’t gotten lucky or found love yet.
There is still the legendary Hollywood Party at Hotel Zoso from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. tonight. Sunday brings the Sapphic Splash Pool Party from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel, followed by The Dinah’s closing party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Hunters.
There is still one more day to get your groove on at The Dinah.
I promise that this legendary lesbian party scene will help you get through another day.
