Wonderful experience at the Cybill Shepherd concert.

Winner of three Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy Award nomination, Cybill Shepherd put on an entertaining show. She sang songs from the American songbook, told stories about her career and presented clips from her films and TV shows.

She talked about her dear friend Elvis Presley and she wore a cool leather jacket with a painting of Elvis on the back. Films discussed included the Last Picture Show co-starring Jeff Bridges directed by Peter Bogdanovich. Taxi Driver starring Robert De Niro directed by Martin Scorsese. The Heartbreak Kid co-starring Charles Grodin directed by Elaine May. TV shows discussed included Moonlighting co-starring Bruce Willis. Cybill starring herself.

The show was presented by Chris Isaacson. The great band included Sunnie Paxson musical director and pianist, Dave Tull Drums, Mark Towns Bass, Freddie Ramos Guitar Murray Middleman Horn, Susan Massengale and Sandra Adams background vocals.

Cybill even took questions from the audience. Finally, I was delighted to present Cybill with a first edition of my book Rock ‘N’ Roll Lens and a belated Valentine of a red felt heart lapel pin. It was a delightful evening at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
