
Culver City (The Hollywood Times) March 26, 2026 … The Culver City Book Festival is back this Sunday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wende Museum, 10808 Culver Boulevard. Free and open to the public, the event brings together local authors, small-press publishers, and literary nonprofits for a full day of programming.
Organized this year by Village Well Books & Coffee, the independent downtown bookstore that opened in 2020, the festival is a partnership between the Culver City Arts Foundation, El Martillo Press, Beyond Baroque, the Wende Museum, and the City of Culver City.

“We are delighted to be the organizers for this year’s festival, which gathers and channels the energy of this very creative community,” said Village Well founder Jennifer Caspar.

In addition to tables exhibiting the work of local presses, there will be panels for adults on a variety of topics including:
- “Finding Hope & Ways to Cope” with Claire Bidwell Smith, Christiane Wolf, Mandy Kahn, and Alessandra Olanow, moderated by Barry Goldstein
- “LA Women VS the Void” with Anna Dorn, Ruth Madievsky, Allie Rowbottom, Nada Alic, and Kim Samek, moderated by Francesca Lia Block
- “Behind the Meet-Cute: The Mechanics of Modern Romance” with Joss Richard, Myah Ariel, Allison Raskin, and Clare Osongco, moderated by Taylor Capizola
Families with young children will find a robust lineup of storytimes, live music, and a graphic novel workshop.

Exhibitors will include the Museum of Tolerance, WriteGirl, Angel City Press, and Heavy Manners Library, among other local literary organizations.
