Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 8/14/26 – There have been a number of tribute “rock god” bands. Inspired by music mega stars, such as Led Zepagain (Led Zeppelin) , Queen Nation (Queen) and Fleetwood Macked (Fleetwood Mac and others), who not only play the original band’s numbers- some even wear costumes and wigs to emulate the images of singers and musicians.
With so many acts recreating famous musical artists, Brit Floyd and The Australian Pink Floyd Show are acknowledged as the very best global Pink Floyd tribute acts.

As part of their current North American Happiest Days of Our Lives Greatest Hits tour, The Australian Pink Floyd Show (known as Australian Pink Floyd or Aussie Floyd) touched down in Thousand Oaks on a bloody hot August night, rocking the Fred Kavli Theatre.
Adapting Pink Floyd’s catalog of hits and cool instrumental/vocal music, The Australian Pink Floyd Show lent into the genius of the band- without simply copying them. With energetic and amplified strong renditions of hits including “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”; “Money”; “Another Brick in the Wall”; “Time” and my favorite “Comfortably Numb” they actually managed to transcend the originals.

Drawing from “Dark Side of the Moon” and other super hit albums, Aussie Floyd somehow made them their own. A production highlight was “Breathe (in the Air.”
Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, lead guitarist and singer was so impressed by the tribute band he invited them to play at one of his birthday bashes.
Lighting, lasers, screen projections and inflatable’s, most notably a giant kangaroo, made for a memorable production. Very Monty Python!

Formed in Adelaide, the APFS lineup includes Chris Barnes on vocals, Luc Ledy-Lepine on guitar, David Domminey Fowler also on guitar and vocals, Ricky Howard slappin’ the bass, Matt Riddle on keyboards and Paul Bonney on drum kit. Alex Francois played a mean saxophone. TAPF backing vocalists Lorelei Mc Broom and Emily Lynn and Lara Smiles did more than just backing. Their solos were celebrated. A standing ovation led into encore after encore. More about the band HERE.
