Rising Star Jessica Mikayla Takes Hollywood
Socially Conscious Teen Advocates the Importance of Literacy and Gun Control
Jessica can be seen in projects ranging from the Oscar-winning film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to portraying the voice of Alanna in the Disney Jr. animated musical series “Ariel,” and the character Jazz in the animated series “Good Times” on Netflix.
Jessica’s most recent role is the YouTube series “Yummiland” portraying both “Rory Blueberry” and “Goodie”. Yummiland series follows the six Yummis who protect an edible city using lip gloss
superpowers that are activated by magical lip gloss. Look for “Yummiland” dolls and accessories at Walmart, Target and Amazon.

- Jessica was nominated for a 2024 NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Performance in a Short
Form Series” for Disney’s Launchpad “Project CC” episode (playing the lead role) - At 18 y.o., she is a Voting Member for The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
- In 2023, she won a Society of Voice Arts & Sciences (SOVA) Award for “Best Voiceover for Outstanding Dubbing in International, TV or Streaming” for her work in “Hawa”
- A native of Compton Calif. Jessica volunteers as a Children’s Church Leader discussing the need to stop gun violence and the importance of literacy in the inner city.
- In 2023 she was named RISING STAR Honoree by EmpowHer, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls as they strive to achieve their goals.
