Palm Springs, CA (The Hollywood Times) 3/25/26 – The beat of Desert Legends 2026 is about to get a whole lot stronger thanks to powerhouse drummer and local favorite Vicci Stewart, who will take the stage alongside Jennifer Corday for what promises to be an unforgettable Saturday night concert.
Taking place April 4th in the Fillmore Room at Hotel Zoso, the highly anticipated performance is one of the marquee events of Desert Legends’ four-day celebration of music, community, and connection.
For Stewart, Desert Legends represents more than just another gig, it’s part of something bigger.
“I just think it’s such a great opportunity,” she shared during her interview with The Hollywood Times. “A new platform… a movement, really, where we can all hang out, have a good time, feel safe, feel the love, and just celebrate.”
Desert Legends has quickly carved out a unique space in Palm Springs, offering an inclusive, vibrant alternative for women looking to connect, create, and celebrate life at every stage.
Stewart describes her musical style as a dynamic fusion of rock, funk, and blues, an energetic blend that mirrors her personality on stage.
“I don’t like to be put in one category,” she explained. “I just love to play, collaborate, and have fun. And when people see that I’m having fun, they have fun, it becomes this shared energy.”

Local favorite, musician, drummer and percussionist Vicci Stewart!
That energy will be front and center on April 4th, not only because of her signature rhythm, but also because Stewart is stepping into a new performance role.
“I’m going to be up front with Corday, standing and playing, not behind the kit. It’s something different, and it’s going to be exciting.”
Stewart’s path to percussion started early, deeply rooted in a musical family and unforgettable childhood moments.
Growing up surrounded by musicians and even witnessing members of The Beach Boys perform, she found herself drawn to the drums at a young age.
“I started playing when I was 11,” she said. “There was just something about rhythm, I knew this was what I wanted to do.”
Her career has included standout moments like opening for Night Ranger in front of thousands and being personally selected by Pink to appear in the music video for Just Like a Pill.
After years in Hollywood, Stewart found a new creative home in Palm Springs, one that continues to inspire her artistry.
“The vibe here is more chill, more accepting,” she said. “It’s opened up so many opportunities to collaborate and connect with other musicians.”
Through collaborations with local artists and performances at venues like Hunters Palm Springs, Stewart has become a beloved part of the desert’s thriving music scene.
The April 4th concert is shaping up to be a highlight of Desert Legends 2026, featuring:
- A full concert by Jennifer Corday
- Special guest musicians including Vicci Stewart
- Comedy and hosting by Suzanne Westenhoefer
- Honoring Desert Legends 2026 recipient Sweet Baby J’ai
- Followed by the high-energy “Hotter Flash” dance party
For those still deciding, Stewart has a simple message:
“If you want to have a good time, just come out, let your hair down, and be yourself. It’s going to be fun no matter what.”
When asked to describe her musical vibe in one song, Stewart didn’t hesitate:
“Magic Carpet Ride,” she laughed, capturing perfectly the free-spirited, high-energy ride audiences can expect.
