At The Canyon on July 4th

Agoura Hills, CA (The Hollywood Times) 6/23/25 – Take Big Country, Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, and Gene Loves Jezebel and you’ve got a really big party. The four 80’s bands from the US and UK will hit the Canyon, Agoura Hills on Friday July 4th for what promises to be a fun weekend kick off for the upcoming Holiday.
Big Country’s signature hit “In A Big Country” still resonates, with its driving beat. “Go Wild In The Country” by Bow Wow Wow takes me back to London, when Annabella Lwin fronted the original band’s high energy punk and tribal vibe, topping the charts with “I Want Candy.” It still resonates. Universally, especially with Americans.
Who doesn’t remember “867-5309/Jenny”? Tommy Tutone’s super catchy top tune that had people singing and even dialing a fictious phone number to this day! This American power pop band delivers fun and have been doing so since 1978. Through the 80’s and beyond. Last but not least, Brit goth rockers Gene Loves Jezebel with distinctive songs like “Heartache” and “Desire (Come and Get It)” are sure to add to the vibe.
The Canyon is the perfect club for this kind of intimate show, where you can dance and drink (not drive!) and let it all hang out. My art school colleague did- and it’s all good, with this LA club ambience in Agoura Hills. The only one of its kind in the Conejo Valley. Where “music meets the soul.”
