55th Nashville Film Festival Announces 2024 Creators Conference Full Program Featuring Panels, Special Guests

Three Days of Inspiration and Collaboration: Annual Summit Uniting Filmmakers and Creative Minds

Nashville, TN (August 22, 2024) – The Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm), a week-long celebration of film, music and culture, today announced the 2024 Creators Conference program, which will include topical panels with film industry professionals and a pitch competition as part of the 55th annual festival taking place September 19-25, 2024. NashFilm Creators Conference

This three-day professional conference connects filmmakers and industry leaders in a mix of panels that explore current industry trends and cultural topics in film and music. This year, the conference will take place September 20-22 and feature film, screenwriting and scoring-focused panels at Hilton Green Hills and Soho House.

Featured panels will give attendees a chance to gain firsthand knowledge on the industry, including in sessions like: Crafting Compelling Narratives: The Intersection of Screenwriting and Agent Representation, a panel discussing the importance of agents and what they look for when signing writers for representation; Breaking Though: Strategies for Indie Film Distribution Success, an insightful discussion on the intricacies of distributing films to audiences and strategies for marketing; and The Magic of Music in Cinema, a dive into music in film with music publisher Anastasia Brown and music supervisors Julianne Jordan and Julia Michels. This year’s impressive lineup of panelists and moderators includes; Nick Barnes, Steve Barnett, Emily Best, Amanda Burnett, Amanda Culcowski, Dave DeBorde, Rebecca Fons, Alexandra Fredericks, Kelly Frey, Este Haim, Matthew Henderson, Alison Abbey Hudak, Henry Jones, Mariah Kramer, Tracie Laymon, Brian Loschiavo, Bob Rains, Annalisa Shoemaker, Brock Starnes, Ryan Whitaker and Rachel Wolther.

Pitch Competition

As a part of the 2024 Creators Conference, the top 10 finalists selected in either Episodic or Feature will have the unique opportunity to pitch their ideas for television shows or feature films to an industry panel live at the 2024 Nashville Film Festival Pitch Event. Beneficial to writers & filmmakers alike, creators will receive live feedback and tips from experienced professionals in an educational and supportive environment, with one winner chosen from feature concepts and one from episodic. The pitch competition will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 1-4 pm at the Hilton Green Hills.

Creators Conference events are open to the public, and individual tickets are available on the NashFilm website; the festival’s VIP badges offer the opportunity for admission to all events.
