Reading, PA (The Hollywood Times) 10/13/26 – Some secrets refuse to stay buried, and in Your Lips Never Left Mine, writer-director Matthew Kozlark explores just how dangerous the past can become when it begins unraveling. This award-winning psychological thriller follows Lara (Cassandra Due), a young woman hired to tutor a wealthy couple’s son at their secluded summer lake house. What initially appears to be an ordinary summer job quickly takes a disturbing turn as Lara discovers troubling secrets involving the family and a former tutor.
Blending mystery, romantic intrigue, and psychological suspense, Kozlark creates a story in which appearances can be deceiving and trust becomes increasingly difficult. The picturesque lakeside setting provides an intriguing contrast to the darkness lurking beneath the family’s seemingly perfect life.
The independent feature has already attracted festival attention, winning the Grand Prize for Best Feature Film at the 2026 New Jersey Film Festival, along with recognition for its performances and filmmaking.
