Anaheim, CA (The Hollywood Times) 1/20/26 – Tonight’s Yamaha Guitar 60th Anniversary event, hosted by Yamaha Music USA, struck all the right chords at the iconic House of Blues Anaheim, and the celebration felt every bit worthy of six decades of innovation.
Getting there couldn’t have been easier, with shuttles running right from the Anaheim Marriott, setting the tone for a smooth, festive evening. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with good vibes, two drink tickets, a commemorative Yamaha T-shirt, and a handful of tasty buffet treats, perfect fuel for a night centered on music, craft, and community.
The heart of the evening blended live performance with deep-dive insight, as Yamaha Design Engineers took the stage for a compelling panel on 60 years of Yamaha guitar innovation. Hearing directly from the pros behind the instruments offered rare perspective on how artistry and engineering continue to evolve side by side.
Then came the music. Yamaha Guitar Artists Chris Buck, Matteo Mancuso, Vincen García, and Ethan Ridings delivered electrifying performances that showcased not only their individual brilliance, but also the versatility and soul of Yamaha guitars across genres.
From craftsmanship to crowd energy, the evening felt like a true love letter to guitar culture; past, present, and future. As the final notes rang out and the last shuttle pulled away, one thing was clear: Yamaha’s legacy isn’t just about instruments, it’s about the artists, the engineers, and the shared joy of making music together.
