If you’ve already heard about Geoffrey’s in Malibu and been there, it’s time to rediscover it! If you never been to Geoffrey’s here’s the scoop. The scenic views, delectable food, and impeccable service all provide an exciting escape.

We started with one of their signature appetizers, the Baked Brie, an amazing creamy wheel of Brie wrapped in flaky puff pastry and served with pear chutney, beurre blanc, and roasted pine nut. Their cocktail and wine menu provides plenty of excellent choices, in other words there’s no wrong answer when it comes to selecting a wine or cocktail at Geoffrey’s. We enjoyed the weekend brunch menu which was extremely well-priced and had the Chicken Piccata and Scotch Benedict. The Chicken Piccata had the perfect blend of fresh vegetables, mashed potatoes, and lemon caper butter sauce. The Scotch Benedict was served on a toasted croissant with a delicious combination of smoked salmon, roasted red potatoes, fresh fruit, and Hollandaise.

Geoffrey’s has been around since 1948. It was called the Holiday House at that time and where Marilyn Monroe and JFK rendezvous and shared many intimate evenings. What were their conversations about and the secrets they shared? Today, Geoffrey’s is a place where its diners are known to close a multi-million deal, sign a record label, or enjoy a romantic evening. It also has had its share of 21st century stars, such as Lady Gaga, Pink, Halle Berry, Pierce Bronson, and Oprah.
The gorgeous manager Shaz oversees the restaurant and is the special events director. Shaz who has been with Geoffrey’s for 15 years is outstanding in implementing every detail and nuance at the restaurant. She has coordinated events for high end profile guests and works as the main concierge for celebrity clientele. She has watched her children grow up and run around these floors. When I visited Geoffrey’s on a recent Sunday afternoon, it could be described as not only one of the most romantic get aways imaginable but also a place to celebrate a special occasion with the entire family. Shaz described Geoffrey’s as, “A unique place, rich in its own history. It embodies the natural beauty from which it sprang, while offering an invitation to everyone who cares to celebrate life, what could be more classic.”

People come far and wide to escape to this beautiful destination. Escape to Geoffrey’s, you won’t be disappointed. You’ll be treated like a rock star of Hollywood.
