Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 6/11/25 – Yesterday’s Wags & Walks adoption event turned was a high-energy celebration of compassion, community, and pop music, thanks to a listening party with multi-platinum artist Kesha. The event, held at the rescue organization’s West LA adoption center, blended animal advocacy with an exclusive preview of Kesha’s upcoming music, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for fans and pet lovers alike.

The afternoon kicked off with adoptable dogs plus guests and volunteers from Wags & Walks shared stories about the rescue’s mission to reduce euthanasia in local shelters. Attendees had the chance to interact with the pups, learn about the adoption process, and even take-home furry friends that same day.

Excitement peaked when the guests were able to meet Kesha as she radiated joy.  She mingled with fans and cuddled rescue dogs. In a heartfelt speech, she expressed her passion for animal welfare and praised Wags & Walks for their tireless efforts. “This place is pure magic,” Kesha said. “Animals have saved me so many times in my life. If I can help even one dog find a home today, it’s worth it.”

Kesha then invited attendees to an intimate listening session featuring tracks from her forthcoming album. The mix of upbeat anthems and introspective ballads provided the perfect soundtrack to the afternoon’s feel-good energy. Fans swayed and sang along.  Proving music and love for animals are a perfect match.

“Partnering with Kesha brought new energy to our mission,” said Lesley Brog, founder of Wags & Walks. “Seeing people connect with our dogs while experiencing Kesha’s music was truly special. It’s the kind of magic that reminds us why we do what we do.”

With lives changed and tails wagging, the Wags & Walks x Kesha event proved that music and rescue have the power to heal—and bring people together for a greater good.
