(The Hollywood Times) 3/28/21 – Every now and then, by happenstance, we find that perfect restaurant and it couldn’t have happened at a better time. That time was my relocation from Orange County, California to Boerne (San Antonio area), Texas in late February 2021.
At the end of our second day’s drive, we were fortunate enough to find a great hotel in Tucson at a reasonable price. We were ready for a good meal. A quick search on the Internet yielded several restaurants that looked promising.
Perhaps it was serendipity that I misread the distance to Vivace Restaurant, instead of being 0.7 miles, it was actually 7.0 miles of ascending and tightly curving roads, however, we soldiered on, determined to eventually find that restaurant.
We were immediately seated on the beautifully appointed Tuscan-style patio. We were hooked! The waiters were vivacious, knowledgeable, and accommodating on specific requests that we made. The ambiance was definitely warm and delightfully fun.
Since our party of five was comprised of family members, we admittedly offered each other samples of chosen menu items that ranged from an awesome cheese, meat, vegetable appetizer plate, steak, angel hair pasta with pesto, eggplant parmesan, and various salads. All items were so outstanding that most of our dinner conversation was dedicated to describing how delicious the food was.
The panoramic view from the restaurant is stunning overlooking the foothills and bright twinkling lights. When you visit, make sure you allow time to enjoy the view.
As our evening was coming to an end, leaving the restaurant we were greeted by Daniel Scordato himself. Daniel graciously told us the history of the restaurant and the family that started and still owns and operates it today.
We even got our picture taken with Daniel.
