Titanic: Voyage Through Time – Step into History Without Getting Wet

Reviewed by Peggy Phillips

Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/20/25 – Titanic: Voyage Through Time is an immersive full-body VR expedition that brings the story of the Titanic vividly to life.

New to VR myself, I was immediately impressed by the friendly crew who greeted me and fitted me with pristine, state-of-the-art goggles. The journey begins with a virtual descent to the ocean floor, nearly 2.4 miles below the surface, where the Titanic now rests. As a scuba diver, I found this segment especially captivating. Crabs moved along the seabed, fish swam past, and the quiet stillness of the deep ocean felt both peaceful and authentic.

Then came the awe-inspiring moment: encountering the wreckage of the Titanic. We virtually explored the remains before being transported back in time to 1912. Suddenly, we were walking the Grand Staircase, roaming the decks, and moving through the opulent First-Class areas. VR allows you to move freely, turn your head, step into rooms, pick up objects, and even simulate walking downstairs. I laughed at myself, instinctively moving my feet as if I were truly descending the staircase.

A virtual crew guides the entire experience, so you’re never disoriented. Along the way, you meet real passengers and crew members of the Titanic. Seeing their faces and hearing their stories is deeply moving. When the iceberg struck and we safely boarded a lifeboat, I felt the gravity of the tragedy, the loss of life, the bravery of those who tried to help, and the magnitude of the ship’s fate.

Whether you’re a history buff, a fan of immersive tech, or simply looking for a unique activity in Los Angeles, this VR experience is both educational and impactful. It’s ideal for families (kids must be 8+), friends, or anyone seeking a powerful journey through time. Titanic: Voyage Through Time is only in Los Angeles for 6 to 8 months—don’t wait too long to embark.
