Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/15/23- Fateema Al-Hamaydeh Miller is a Muti-Racial screenwriter, director, performer, and Indie Producer based in Toronto. Her work explores fragmented identity, grief, isolation, and connection through grounded comedy. With a background in Improv and Clown, she believes in resilience and resistance through laughter. She aims for inclusive and accessible sets that uplift diverse communities.

Miller’s short film Eitr tells the story of a young man named Mohammad who becomes entangled in a web of secrets. The film explores themes of identity, family, and the lengths people will go to protect their fear of the truth. The main character, Mohammad, is a reserved introvert struggling to find his place in the world.

When he encounters an attractive stranger who shares common interests, he becomes more interested in revealing his truth. Along the way, he must confront his fears and insecurities and the harsh realities of the world around him. Despite his uncertainty, Mohammad discovers the power of being one’s authentic self.

Eitr is an extraordinary film that is sure to captivate audiences. It gives a rare insight into the struggles of cultural identity from the perspective of an Arab Male. Eitr paints a powerful portrait of a man’s search for self-discovery through beautiful visuals and heartfelt storytelling.
