Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 12/11/25 – As the holiday season inspires reflection and generosity, one Los Angeles nonprofit is transforming that spirit into meaningful, life-changing action. On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Giving A Smile Foundation will host its inaugural fundraising gala, Smile Under The Stars, at the legendary Beverly Hilton, officially launching a bold initiative designed to change the future of oral health care for underserved youth. The Hollywood Times will be on site to cover the celebration live.
More than a black-tie evening, the gala marks the debut of Los Angeles’ first year-round, no-cost dental clinic dedicated exclusively to children and young adults up to age 24. Anchored in access, equity, and community partnership, the Foundation’s mission is both simple and urgent: no young person should be denied essential dental care because of financial hardship.
Presented by renowned Beverly Hills cosmetic dentists Rifkin Ranaan Dentistry, the elegant evening brings together philanthropy, entertainment, and purpose. Emmy Award–winning actor Kelsey Grammer will serve as Master of Ceremonies, lending his voice and leadership to a night focused on raising $1 million to ensure the permanent clinic becomes a reality.
Adding musical heart to the evening, Robin Thicke will deliver a special headlining performance. The five-time Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and The Masked Singer judge is widely recognized not only for his enduring musical career, but also for his commitment to meaningful causes. Opening the night will be a live performance by The Voice standout Jacquie Lee.
The gala is expected to welcome an impressive lineup of talent and supporters, including presenters Harry Goodwins (The Gentlemen), Colin Egglesfield (The Client List), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Lucifer), and James Tupper (Big Little Lies). Additional attending guests include Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless), Emma Hernan (Selling Sunset), artists and creatives such as Matt Smiley, and actors Sofia Milos, Eve Richards, Maryam Zolgadhr, Amanda Bustard, Ella Rose, Martin Rodriguez, Blanca Blanco, and many more, with further names to be announced.
A central highlight of the evening will be the presentation of four honors recognizing individuals whose leadership and service have significantly advanced the Foundation’s mission:
-
Lorrie Bartlett, Senior Head of Talent at CAA — Guiding Light Award
-
JR Dzubak — Visionary Impact Award
-
Dr. Katja Van Herle — Healing Hands Award
-
Mayor Sharona Nazarian, City of Beverly Hills — Humanitarian Leadership Award
Their work embodies the Foundation’s core values of compassion, service, and long-term community impact.
Guests will enjoy a chef-curated dinner by the Beverly Hilton’s acclaimed culinary team, alongside live entertainment and powerful patient testimonials that underscore how transformative access to dental care can be — not only for physical health, but for confidence, opportunity, and quality of life.
Funds raised will support the opening and year-round operation of the Foundation’s first permanent no-cost dental clinic, as well as preventive education initiatives, advanced treatments, and expanded oral-health outreach throughout Los Angeles.
In addition, the Foundation has announced a major expansion of its mission: the launch of two fully equipped mobile dental units designed to bring free, high-quality care directly into underserved neighborhoods. These mobile clinics will eliminate transportation and access barriers, allowing the Foundation to reach young people where they live, learn, and gather.
Founder Justin Ranaan, DDS, MMSc, emphasized the importance of this next phase, noting that the mobile units will dramatically extend the Foundation’s reach while ensuring that no child or young adult is left behind due to circumstance.
The Giving A Smile Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing essential dental care to underserved children and young adults across Los Angeles. Through treatment, education, and sustained community engagement, the organization works year-round to remove barriers to oral health and create healthier futures.
For guests, sponsors, and donors, Smile Under The Stars represents more than a celebration, it is the beginning of a long-term investment in the health, dignity, and well-being of Los Angeles youth.
