Cannes, France (The Hollywood Times) 6/3/2026
The JW Marriott Cannes Hotel was my hot spot for me at this years’ 79 Cannes Film Festival. Eating my Cesar chicken salad nightly and drinking glasses of champagne brought me loads of luck during this European work vacation. I met many prominent men, scored some invites to parties, and developed some great relationships. I am told that I am big eater and it sometimes annoys others in our “jet set lifestyle”.
Most of the models, actors and even film execs are size (0). I got away with eating my whole life because I was a 5’10 Playboy model and never was a real fashion model. I always listened to what my Dr.’s told me and loved how God made me (not big, not small but just right). Plus, my BMI was always on Par. I attended all the fabulous parties at this Cannes Film Festival where there were delicious Hors/d oeuvres and unlimited Cocktails. When the group continued throughout the evening to various parties, I would sneak away to the Bar at the JW MARRIOT BAR around 10 pm and eat my Chicken Cesar Salad on the down low. The irony is that when I ate my salad solo, I never made it back to the group and found more excitement and adventure. Don’t worry I am “Only Josie Knows “and will share with you my readers at The Hollywood Times how my Cesar salad brought me the best time in Cote d’ Azure.
The first day I went to an event at Copal Beach, where I ran into some very interesting industry people from Los Angeles and did some interviews for The Hollywood Times. The music was chic, and vibe was lit and food was delicious oh and the Champagne was never ending. It was an omen to many more fun events during the festival.
After the party I went for a night cap to the Marriott and there were no seats at the bar and a very handsome IRISHMAN, looked at my legs and said, “I am alone would you care to join me for a drink”? That gentleman was Dessie Byrne who is an Executive Producer for “Butterfly Jam” which premiered that night at the Cannes Film Festival. What a lovely evening to celebrate …

The second night there sitting at the bar, I was able to reset and enjoy my Cesar salad solo. Out of nowhere, this very handsome (6’5, ALL American, Former College Athlete) Film Executive Producer approached me in a very professional manner. He reminded me of a past Executive at Fremantle Media Eugene Young, who cast me on my first network tv reality show. This man was a carbon copy but with a Cannes Film Festival Accreditation tag around this neck. We started talking and before I knew it, he invited me to join his group for the night. There was an instant connection but in a very professional, artistic, entertainment way. The group was filled with very successful and interesting entertainers, from a Ukrainian Model to a 2-time winner of Bachelor of Bulgaria, Drs, Brand Owners and Film Executives. I am going to call him Mr. Arizona, as he is from Arizona, and don’t want to expose this man completely, just a little….
Mr. Arizona was very generous and started buying the best champagne. He disclosed he was a very happily married man to a very successful Dr. The group picked up and Mr. Arizona invited me to the Carlton Hotel. Let’s just say I would not have gotten into the Carlton Hotel without Mr. Arizona. As I walked in with Mr. Arizona, I started to notice that he is a very handsome tall man, whether it was the bottles of Champagne, or us two tall people walking side by side I thought, what a good-looking man. As soon as we got to the bar, I noticed Dr. O, best friend Mr. Sameday Passport at the Carlton Bar. Both Dr. O and Mr. Same day Passport have been featured in The Hollywood Times.
Mr. Arizona ended up taking me back to my hotel in an uber and that was very much appreciated. We spoke about my dating life, and he told to be careful as men have various attractions to woman. He explained “Lust, Loyalty and Sexual Attraction.” I told him my brand just launched “Spoiled and Entitled 2.0” and I don’t get hurt because I only get sexually involved for a future family or for progressive living. Hooking up for dinner & drinks left the building in 2011. This is my business Modus Operaandi. Josie Goldberg has 2 columns …. Column A or B which I wrote about in previous articles.
The next day Mr. Arizona called me and told me how he enjoyed my company and asked me to interview his partner for The Hollywood Times the following night.
I accepted our business relationship with Mr. Arizona. Which was weird for me because how can you be in the South of France for Cannes Film Festival and just stick to business. However, when Mr. Arizona, started to play his games and keep me waiting on his schedule I started to give him a piece of my mind and realized that this man is more complicated than what appeared to be. There is more to the story, but I will respect his title as a happily married man! He did invite me to some screenings, and to have drinks with him again past my bedtime. What made him DQ from my life is when he scored fabulous tickets for his production company to walk the RED CARPET for a big movie premier on the “FESTIVAL DE CANNES RED CARPET”. He knew I wanted to dress up and go and do the interview live for The Hollywood Times (BEHIND THE SCENES). I know it was not meant to be. There is always next year.

I have to say that this 79th Cannes Film Festival was by far my best out of the four years I attended. I had so much fun and felt I accomplished a lot as a Reporter.
With regards to Mr. Arizona, I wish his production company all the best in attaining funding for the various projects they are invested in. I had so much fun with his team and him. I understand that we never meet by accident and I believe God sent me Mr. Arizona, because I forgot what it was like to have a genuine artistic, entertainment connection where a man or (ENTERTIANMENT EXECUTIVE) is attracted to “MY BIG PERSONALITY” which Dr. Phil always asked me “IS IT ENOUGH IN LIFE”?
I also was extremely satisfied with my launch of my brand Spoiled and Entitled 2.0 brand (tangible and intangible aspects).
Time will tell, until then I went to Monaco the last 2 days of my trip, and found myself a very handsome, age appropriate successful French Commodities Broker from Paris and again while I was eating my Cesar salad at the bar at The Fairmont Hotel and sipping my Dom Perignon, but that my readers is for another time.
