Santa Barbara, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/21/25 – This past weekend, the California Wine Festival made a triumphant return to Santa Barbara, transforming the beachfront into a haven for wine lovers, foodies, and coastal lifestyle enthusiasts. Held at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort’s picturesque Plaza del Sol, the two-day celebration delivered everything it promised: exceptional wine tasting, gourmet bites, and the kind of relaxed, sun-soaked atmosphere only Santa Barbara can offer.
As guests entered the venue, they were warmly welcomed and handed a keepsake wine glass. This elegant and practical touch allowed attendees to wander from booth to booth, tasting a wide variety of wines without missing a beat. With over 200 selections from California’s most renowned wineries, there was no shortage of discovery and delight.
Standout sips included the refreshing Atost, a citrus-forward aperitif with a crisp, modern twist, and Bondie, a delicate French wine that paired beautifully with the coastal breeze. Another highlight was the Michael Pozzan 2022 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Bold, rich, and balanced, it left a lasting impression on even the most seasoned wine lovers.
Local winemakers proudly poured their finest vintages and offered insight into their craft, creating a personalized experience that wine enthusiasts and casual sippers alike could appreciate.
Food offerings were just as memorable. Guests indulged in wood-fired pizzas made fresh on-site with perfectly blistered crusts and rich, melty cheese. The whimsical charcuterie cones from A La Carte quickly became a crowd favorite. Packed with artisan cheeses, cured meats, and fresh fruit, they were stylish, satisfying, and easy to enjoy while mingling.
Live music filled the air and added to the breezy, celebratory mood. With the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop and the golden California sun overhead, the event offered the perfect balance of sophistication and laid-back fun.
