I had the incredible opportunity to attend the dazzling premiere of Slaycation Season 2 at The Abbey in West Hollywood on December 11th. The atmosphere was electric, with a vibrant crowd that included a host of Drag Race alumni, such as the fabulous Plane Jane, the stunning Nicole Paige Brooks, the charismatic LaLa Ri, the larger-than-life Eureka O’Hara, XANA, and the unforgettable Naomi Grossman from American Horror Story. It was a joy to see so many beloved queens out and about, radiating their signature charm.
Throughout the night, I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race legends, including the fabulous Nicole Paige Brooks and the fierce Morgan McMichaels. The event kicked off with a star-studded red carpet that felt like a true celebration of drag culture. The evening was made even more special with an engaging introduction by cast members Nicky Doll and Silky Nutmeg Ganache, followed by an exclusive screening of the much-anticipated premiere episode.
As the night unfolded, I eagerly searched for the latest hot gossip. While I picked up a few juicy tidbits, I couldn’t help but wonder if one particular piece of news was fabricated, especially since several queens joked that all drag queens are master liars always keeping us on our toes with their humor!
Amid the laughter, I encountered a comedic performer whose sense of humor left much to be desired, but on the other hand, I had the delightful pleasure of meeting Jonny McGovern, the host of Hey Qween! He seemed a bit insecure after seeing his own interview, which was surprisingly refreshing to witness.
I also had a charming encounter with Jesse Pattison, who has officially become my new celebrity crush! But the true highlight of the evening was the premiere itself. Slaycation Season 2 had me instantly hooked from the first moment. I laughed until my sides hurt, and I can’t recommend it enough!
