Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/19/20 – Shoot from the Hip, a pilot series produced by Thunderknight Entertainment, has a new trailer out. This comedic show is really building a buzz in Hollywood and  is a cross between Napoleon Dynamite meets Lethal Weapon.

Welcome Detective Marvin Smith, who is the one and only “Swivel” Hips Smith. He is portrayed by rising star Jimmy Drain.

Although new on the force, Detective Smith was hand picked by the archdiocese of Strand City to help police authorities and specifically detective ‘Juice’ Jones take down nefarious cartel leader “MUG LUSTER” and starring legendary action star Mel Novak as his mysterious boss ‘Mr. Felix’. Even though Jones is simple minded, he seems to have an uncanny knack for action, kung fu and saving the girl!

Smith, Jones and feisty new partner Dixie Reynolds embark on a mission of mercy to save Strand City, and possibly the world and each and every threat that they face, including the mysterious and powerful vigilante “The Phantom.” Can this cop caper trio defeat Mr. Felix and his hoard, or will the infamous “Phantom” beat the to the punch in helping the helpless, defending the defenseless and to defeating the defeatless?

The score is by Grammy Board Member Adrian Croom, who is also doing the music for The Initiation also starring Novak and Drain.
