(The Hollywood Times) 6/3/26 – The music world has lost one of its most beloved voices. Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer Peabo Bryson passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by family and loved ones after suffering a recent stroke.

Bryson’s remarkable career spanned more than five decades, earning him a reputation as one of R&B’s premier balladeers. He became internationally known for his unforgettable duets, including the Oscar-winning Disney classics “Beauty and the Beast” with Celine Dion and “A Whole New World” with Regina Belle, both of which earned Grammy Awards.
In addition to his Disney successes, Bryson recorded numerous hits and collaborated with legendary artists including Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole, Kenny G, and Aretha Franklin. His smooth vocals and romantic ballads helped define contemporary R&B for generations of fans.
In a statement, Bryson’s family said, “His legacy and music will live on for generations to come.”
