Michael Naizu is an accomplished athlete, model, and actor who has made significant strides in the entertainment industry. He played baseball at Penn State before pursuing his passion for film. Inspired by his fascination with the film industry, Naizu relocated from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles to kickstart his career.

In LA, Michael quickly became involved in modeling and commercials, and he appeared in several TV shows, including “Female Friendly” and “This Is Life.” However, like many others, he faced challenges during the pandemic when the entertainment industry ground to a halt. Instead of giving up, he channeled his energy into writing, creating a treatment for a TV show that tells the story of an Asian American actor navigating Hollywood. This project was eventually picked up by Joysauce.

Despite the ups and downs, Naizu has had a steady presence in the industry, with notable appearances in films such as “Christmas is Cancelled” (2021) and “Bad Connection.” He played the character Jayce Chen in the film “Culprit 2025.” Currently, he is focused on his biopic, “Bound For Glory,” which is in post-production. Naizu is co-writing and co-directing the film alongside John Wilcox, allowing him creative control over his narrative.

The film features several well-known actors, including Jaime King, Chris Kattan, and Janelle Parrish, who will star alongside Naizu. Additionally, viewers can catch a short film titled “Panacea,” co-written and co-directed by Naizu and Wilcox, in which he also stars, available on American Airlines flights. His journey and work reflect a dedication to storytelling and representation in the film industry, and I cant wait to watch Bound For Glory, maybe he’ll invite me to the premiere.
