PALM SPRINGS – More than a thousand enthusiastic and generous supporters of DAP Health are expected at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday, March 29, 2025, for The 31st Annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards (AKA The Chase) presented by Desert Care Network.

Attendees are sure to get down that night when recently revealed headline entertainers, the legendary KC and The Sunshine Band, storm the stage.

Since their formation in 1973, the group — led by Harry Wayne “KC” Casey — has brought joy to audiences worldwide with their signature “Miami sound,” a fusion of Caribbean, R&B, and funk.

With over 100 million albums sold, chart-topping hits like “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Get Down Tonight,” and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” and music featured in over 200 movies, TV shows, and ad campaigns, KC and The Sunshine Band have left an indelible mark on music and pop culture.

Their accolades include multiple Grammy Awards, an American Music Award, and stars on both the Hollywood and Palm Springs Walks of Fame. Known for their electrifying live performances, KC and The Sunshine Band continue to spread instant happiness across the globe.

“Over the last three decades plus, to say that DAP Health has been fortunate enough to have iconic acts grace our stage at The Chase is a major understatement,” says CEO David Brinkman. “To that illustrious, multi-platinum list we add the inimitable KC and The Sunshine Band for our 31st iteration in 2025. I can already foresee a standing, sold out crowd giving it up to shake, shake, shake and get down that night in their boogie shoes. Keep it coming, love, ’cause that’s the way I like it.”

“I came up with the concept of doing more of a dance party,” adds DAP Health Co-Vice Chair and The Chase Event Chair Kevin Bass, who was instrumental in getting his friend Barry Manilow — a legendary musical powerhouse in his own right — to donate his performance at 2024’s The Chase. That night, $2.3 million was raised.

“I thought, ‘Let’s bring in a famous dance band whose music catalog everybody knows and loves,” continues Bass. “Who better than KC and The Sunshine Band? They represent a time people really remember fondly. So, for 2025, we’re not asking people to just sit, or stand at the front of the stage. We want them to actually get up and dance the night away! It’s going to be a fantastic set because everyone in that room will know each and every one of that long-celebrated act’s solid gold hits!”

Before that disco dancing frenzy caps out the evening, there will be enough love and goodwill to warm the hearts of those in attendance for weeks thereafter.
