| Comedian, Dr. Karen Williams, (that’s right—Karen recently earned her Ph.D), is bringing her new show “JOY TOUR” to Los Angeles. This comedy special will be filmed for her upcoming documentary, “I HAD TO LAUGH.”
Known for her quick repartee, insightful commentary, and incredible audience connection, Karen Williams is unabashedly herself. She was the nation’s first openly lesbian Black comic to include lesbian material in her act. Since beginning her comedy career in the San Francisco Bay area in the early 1980’s, Karen has been making audiences laugh for more than four decades. And this performance will be no exception!
