A Rhode Island native, Jessica has been honing her craft since childhood, writing her first songs at nine years old, recording her first tracks by age twelve, and releasing a dozen original songs before she turned seventeen. She trained classically in choirs, toured internationally, studied acting, and spent over ten years in dance schools honing ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. During these earlier years, her talent stood out as she earned accolades such as the Texas Ultimate Shorts Award and Best Music Video Award from Los Angeles Films. Jessica has collaborated with some of the industry’s top talent, including Zac Lawson, the co-writer and producer behind all of JVKE’s music, along with his creative team. Her experience also includes projects with Billboard-charting songwriters such as Melanie Fontana and Midi Jones, as well as artistic partnerships with Grant Maloy Smith.
Raised in a musical household and guided by her father who is a professional musician, Jessica developed a deep respect for artistry and performance during her youth, which continues to shape her music today. Along with being inspired by her father, Jessica Kaela is influenced by icons like Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, and contemporary artists like Tate McRae. She blends timeless inspiration with modern pop energy, crafting songs that resonate deeply with listeners.
