Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 08/27/2025 – Pink, loud, and out of this world, that’s Kitten Kay Sera for you. She turned the Whisky a Go Goin’ to 6 hours of all-girl bands, inflatable green Martians, and fun for the 1st Annual GirlacticMusic Fest. The night was hosted by Kitten Kay Sera herself, who also closed out the festival with her band Pinktastic Plastixx, in a hot neon pink Judy Jetson 3000 dress, blow-dryer microphone in hand.

Razor Burn ripped open the night, loud, fast, heavy, and got the crowd pumped up more and more with every song. The Anti Groupies (third on the bill) brought a high-energy set that had fans singing along and cheering for more.  Every band on the lineup—Razor Burn, Go Scarlet, The Anti Groupies, Madam Bombs, Doll Riot, Rebel Queen, and Pinktastic Plastixx—all brought their own style, and the crowd was there for all of it.

At just $20 a ticket, the experience was worth it and more.
The Hollywood Times (yours truly) and Aspiring Magazine were grateful to rep as official media partners of the first ever Girlactic. Inside the Whisky, the commitment to empowering women ran deep: women ran the sound booth, women bartenders kept the drinks flowing, and upstairs or down, every seat had a great view. Outside, the Whisky walls were plastered in dozens of giant Freakier Friday ads with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis staring down ready to party, while just a few feet away, a pink Transformer (robot in disguise) mingled with fans on the Boulevard.

Girlactic wasn’t just a pink rock show, it was a community. Fans came from all over, San Diego, Illinois, and beyond. Michael from San Diego finally got to see his longtime favorite Go Scarlet live after years of scheduling misses; while rocking his Anti Groupies shirt so they know their fans are present. Another lucky fan didn’t just snag the set list but got it personalized and signed by The Anti Groupies themselves. The grandmother of a Go Scarlet member and #1 fan was in the house cheering, and a couple from Illinois flew in just to see Rebel Queen.

Upstairs, downstairs, from the bar to the balcony, the Whisky was packed and everyone could see the stage. The bands played tight, the room rocked, and the night was full of wonderful discoveries, laughs, and music that made us want an encore.

Without nights like this, we forget how good it feels to get lost in live music.
Great vibes. Great music. Great night. Follow the bands on Instagram. Show up for the scene. Support live music.
