Currently starring on this season of ABC’s “The Bachelorette”, the ever-charming heartthrob Colton Underwood is a former NFL player and free agent, self-described as “temporarily retired”. While he has made headlines this week with a personal revelation on this week’s episode of “The Bachelorette”, Colton is additionally well known for his work through his non-profit: the Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation. The Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization to empower people with Cystic Fibrosis, provide resources and to raise funds for research and support of people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
As of Tuesday, July 10th 2018. Colton is still competing on the 14th season of “The Bachelorette” starring Rebecca “Becca” Kufrin.
Professionally as a former NFL player, Colton was signed to the San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland Raiders, first signed to the Chargers in 2014.
Achievements of The Legacy Foundation
- Raised a total of $60,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during two football camps to support clinical studies and research.
- Visited children’s hospitals with NFL players to brighten the day of patients.
- Raised $10,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at a Children’s Hospital to purchase aerodynamic bikes and medical equipment for patients.
- Welcomed 400 children each year of the Legacy Football Camps.
