At the ceremonies festival director Tiziana Rocca spoke about the mission of Filming Italy LA to build bridges between the Italian and American film industries.  She then gave various awards and pens to actors Zoe Saldana, Dolph Lundgren, Carlos Diehz, Billy Zane, and Alec Baldwin and directors Marco Perego. and Gabriele Muccino.
Perego’s film DOVECOTE starring Zoe Saldana and Muccino’s film HERE NOW starring Elena Kampouris were both screened and discussed.  Perego and Saldana are cross-cultural spouses who collaborate on film projects.  Muccino’s film was inspired by acclaimed Italian American director Martin Scorsese’s dark comedy AFTER HOURS.
