“One of the most rewarding aspects of our Los Angeles premiere was, of course, seeing so many members of the media, industry professionals, and recognizable faces come out to celebrate the film,” said award-winning filmmaker and actor Harley Wallen.
“The event itself was incredible, but what stood out most to me wasn’t the red carpet—it was the conversations afterward. What I kept hearing, over and over again, was not about the event, but about the film itself. People went out of their way to tell me how much the story affected them. Many shared that they felt it was my strongest work to date, while others spoke specifically about the performances, the score, the sound design, and the way the storytelling immerses the audience in Natalie’s perspective,” he added.
Fathers had its world premiere this Thursday, May 28, 2026. This film is written, directed, produced by and starring multi award-winning talent Harley Wallen alongside his wife, rising star Kaiti Wallen along with their daughters Emilia and Hanna.

Fathers is a 94 minute dramatic thriller. Synopsis: A young girl (Natalie) is kidnapped but it’s not long until we realize things are much more complex as her captor presents a completely different picture. Natalie must figure out what is actually true and what isn’t before it’s too late. “This film means a great deal to me, because it speaks to the confusion and uncertainty so many people feel today in a world filled with misinformation and fractured truths. At its core, Fathers is about identity, trust, and family, which makes premiering it so close to Father’s Day even more meaningful. I’m excited to finally share it with everyone celebrating it with us,” said Wallen. The historic Laemmle 5 will welcome the cast, crew, media and celebrity guests for a great night to remember as the red carpet rolls out. Distributor One Tree Entertainment will release this film on digital platforms across the US and Canada on June 2nd.
